Spam
Is spam actually getting less and less?
I remember times when I got a couple of hundred spam mails per week. These days I get about 1 per hour, so it can’t be much more than 200 per week.
It’s still much, but I have the feeling it’s getting better. Did spamfilters win this war?
What’s your experience? Does anyone have hard empirical data supporting this?

I think the reason is that your upstream mail providers (uni stuttgart, GMX) are already doing a lot of pre-filtering with relay black lists. I don’t think it has actually decreased

K9 stats for the last 13 days:
44 mails/day, 85,79% good, 14,21% spam
(If I could boot Win2k again I could check some older stats….)

I have no idea about my stats. Some time ago a friend had a nice signature in his usenet posts, stating the number of spam and virus mails in the last 24 hours. I always wanted to have something like this, but never looked into it.
We at bawue.net use greylisting, blacklists, whitelists, spamassassin, if i remember correctly. In case of a virus/blacklist entry/whatever we do not accept the email. I always wanted to make statistics on how many messages we accept and how many we do not accept because of what reason. Again, i never got into it.
